Photograph Your Life
"Photograph Your Life" is the documentary film which gets up close and personal, taking an inside look into the life of Bulgarian born Photographer, Ilia Varcev. We join Ilia as he creates new images for an upcoming exhibition, recalls the stories of making some of his most iconic photographs, and takes us on a journey into the creative process of a man who has spent his life making art that strikingly captures the passion and emotion in the world around us.
If you want to be a photographer, you have to photograph, and there is very little that has missed the lens of Ilia's cameras. The opening of the Carter Center, the Forsyth County clan/civil rights rally, gay pride parades, celebrations of American life, and much more. Politicians, musicians, performers, and people just being people, all caught Ilia`s eye. From construction cranes he caught the finishing touches of Atlanta`s trademark buildings. And then there is the everyday world around us, from the floods of South Georgia, to the burned hulk of the Margaret Mitchell house, frozen on film by Ilia Varcev, and waiting for us to rediscover.
